Picture Gallery

Introduction

Sandy Historical Research Group has acquired a large selection of photographs, based on various themes, and all from much earlier times. We will be adding to the gallery in the coming months, and the group is always pleased to receive old photographs and drawings featuring the town and people of Sandy, which will be added to the galleries as received.

Pictures displayed in the 'Sandy Show' gallery are reproduced by kind permission of 'The Biggleswade Chronicle' and former Chronicle photographer, the late George Skevington, who graciously donated a number of the photographs on display in the gallery. The remainder are reproduced by kind permission of the late Mary Addison, who had a large collection of old postcards depicting scenes in and around Sandy dating back to the early 1900's, Richard Addison, Ruby King, Jill Forman and Bob Blain.

Future Gallery pages may contain items graciously donated for copying by the estate of the late George Skevington and we gratefully acknowledge their contribution.
